Welcome to the podcast of StraightTalk with MJ. My name is Michelle Jinnette. 
I launched this podcast in January of 2020.
I am coming to you from the great Volunteer State of Tennessee! More specifically, the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
Just a quick synopsis of my goal here with this podcast. My heart and passion is to speak to the Christian community but All are welcome! Through a series of teachings at our church and in listening to other Christian leaders, I am stepping out and doing what I believe I should be doing. I am "Living my Dash" and not going to be silent in what I strongly believe. I have a passion for knowing the History of America and the incredible way it was established. So, I will be covering stories about the Founding of this great country and the ordinary people who did extraordinary things for the love of freedom and God. I also will cover current news and politics as it relates to our Constitution and Christian worldview. My goal is to dig for the truth in today's world of "fake" news and extreme biased reporting. Many people have simply turned the news off because it has become increasingly difficult to find the truth. My goal is to bring truth to you in a simple format that you can listen to on the go. I cannot possibly know everything about all subjects, but I will be relying on knowledgeable people in the different subject matter and sharing my sources with you on my webpage for you to read and do further research. 
Another goal is to encourage Christians to get engaged in the culture. We cannot be silent or we will lose our generation, or worse yet, our Constitution that enshrines our natural God-given rights that so many have fought and died to protect. We must live by the words in 1 Timothy 2, which says, "Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God. Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion.  And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. He longs for everyone to embrace his life and return to the full knowledge of the truth."                   
How can we expect to live peaceful lives if we aren't engaged and involved by being leaders or by influencing leaders to craft policies that will enable us to live such tranquil and undisturbed lives. 
My core Scripture is from Micah 6:8 which says to Seek Justice, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly with your God. 
So, I welcome you to follow me on this journey of seeking the truth. Maybe along the way, you will find a new perspective or renew your love of this great nation and how incredible our Founding Fathers were in establishing it.
